It's been a while since my last update.  I have completed the first pass at the body work.  I stripped the exterior of the bed down to bare metal and applied primer.  The cab just required light sanding and a coat of primer.  After applying the primer I have found a couple of small dings that will need a little work.  I purchased a mini L88 hood scoop off of ebay.  I cut a hole in the hood and molded the scoop in using rivets and fiberglass.  The hood was stripped down to bare metal prior to the scoop work.  This first coat of primer is mainly to keep rust from developing while I do more of the finish body work and prep for paint.  I anticipate several more sandings and applications of primer. |
